Attorney Client Agreement

This Attorney–Client Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Sardar Khan & Co (“Firm”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) and the client (“Client”, “you”, or “your”). This Agreement sets out the terms and conditions under which legal services will be provided.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Scope of Services

The Firm agrees to provide legal services as discussed and confirmed in writing. Our representation is limited only to the specific matter agreed upon.

Any additional work or new legal matters will require a separate agreement or written confirmation.

2. Formation of Attorney–Client Relationship

An attorney–client relationship is established only when:

• The Firm has agreed in writing to represent you, and

• Required documentation and identification have been completed, and

• Any agreed fees or advance payments have been received.

Contacting us through the website, email, or phone does not automatically create an attorney–client relationship.

3. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

• Provide complete, accurate, and truthful information

• Submit requested documents in a timely manner

• Respond promptly to communications

• Cooperate with the Firm throughout the legal process

• Inform the Firm of any changes in contact details

Failure to cooperate may affect the progress or outcome of the matter.

4. Fees and Payment Terms

• Legal fees will be communicated and agreed upon before work begins.

• Fees may be charged on a fixed-fee, hourly, or retainer basis, depending on the matter.

• Advance payments or retainers may be required.

• The Firm reserves the right to suspend work if payments are not made as agreed.

All fees are for professional time, expertise, and services provided, regardless of the outcome.

5. No Guarantee of Outcome

The Firm will use reasonable professional skill and care in handling your matter. However, legal outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control, and no guarantee or assurance of a specific result is provided.

6. Confidentiality

All information shared by the Client will be treated as confidential and handled in accordance with professional and legal obligations.

However, information may be disclosed if required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.

7. Communication

The Firm may communicate with the Client via phone, email, or other agreed methods. The Client is responsible for checking communications and responding promptly.

8. Third-Party Costs

The Client is responsible for any third-party expenses, including but not limited to:

• Court or government fees

• Filing charges

• Expert or translation fees

• Barrister or external consultant fees

These costs are separate from the Firm’s professional fees and are generally non-refundable.

9. Termination of Agreement

By the Client:
You may terminate our services at any time by providing written notice. Fees will be payable for work completed up to the date of termination.

By the Firm:
The Firm may terminate representation if:

• Fees remain unpaid

• The Client fails to cooperate or provide instructions

• A conflict of interest arises

• Continuing representation becomes unlawful or inappropriate

Any unused portion of advance fees may be refunded after adjustment for work completed.

10. File Retention

Client files and documents may be retained for a reasonable period in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. After this period, files may be securely destroyed.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Firm’s liability for any claim arising from the services provided shall be limited to the total professional fees paid for the relevant matter.

12. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.

13. Acceptance

By instructing Sardar Khan & Co and proceeding with our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Attorney–Client Agreement.
